Vintage Grundig GDM-15 dynamic microphone made in West Germany (circa late 1950s). Originally designed for use with Grundig reel-to-reel tape recorders and broadcast-style home recording setups.
Cardioid dynamic capsule with a built-in transformer, producing a focused midrange-heavy tone typical of early European “reporter” microphones. Limited bandwidth, slightly compressed character, strong presence in the vocal range.
Commonly used today for lo-fi recording, harmonica, guitar amps, sampling, and tape/texture work.
Small crack on the front, but works and looks great.
