New old stock in box -- never installed, never used. Many players consider Virgil Arlo pickups to be the best vintage tele clones made. Check out the attached youtube clip and you'll agree. This is a clone of the classic 1954 blackguard tele pickups. I got a number of these at wholesale prices, so I'm doing a short term sale at greatly reduced prices for about a week... so if you want 'em, jump on em! The tone has great clarity while also being pretty warm for a Tele. Virgil Arlo retired from winding pickups in 2019, and Tone Specific was making these black label ones under license (and training) from Virgil Arlo using his leftover materials and winding techniques and machinery, the deal being once his leftover parts were gone there would be no more made. If you search Tone Specific Virgil Arlo you'll find the page on their website with all the info. You'll also see that all Virgil Arlo pickups are sold out and they will not be making any more -- apparently all the leftover parts are now gone. So this black label set is one of those and is therefore one of the last of its kind -- this is an ultra-rare opportunity to get a brand new set. These are sonically identical near as anyone can tell to the original Virgil Arlo white labels, which ceased production in 2019, but they're a lot less expensive. So get 'em while you can!
