Personal Thoughts:
This is exactly the sort of Mod Shop Les Paul that actually feels special rather than just slightly different. The Tropical Fishy finish is the big talking point, and rightly so. That metallic turquoise-to-purple burst effect gives the guitar a really unusual look, and the fact the metallic overspray carries through onto the headstock veneer makes it feel much more complete and thought through as a custom piece. The pearloid plastics and white knobs push it even further away from a standard Les Paul Standard look and give it a slightly flashier, custom-colour vibe without losing the classic Gibson shape underneath. What makes it work so well is that the rest of the guitar keeps the usual 50’s Les Paul recipe intact, so you still get all the familiar appeal of the rounded neck carve, rosewood board and Burstbucker-loaded setup. A very cool Mod Shop build and a great example of Gibson doing something fun without overcomplicating the formula.
