This is a very special ES-335 from the first year that Gibson made the 335 models in the Nashville Custom Shop, and this one is #103. The attention to detail is outstanding in every regard, and the guitar plays like a million bucks. It's a Historic Reissue of the 1963 ES-335. From what we can tell, it's fully stock. These early Custom Shop guitars did not have serial numbers stamped into the back of the headstock, nor did they come with COA's - the only real identifier is the hand-written orange sticker inside the F hole. Gibson has confirmed the authenticity of this one.
Condition is vey good for a guitar of 28 years old, that has clearly been loved and played. No breaks, repairs or significant issues that would effect playability. There are typical signs of wear including some scratch marks, smudges, finish swirls, hardware tarnishing, some small nicks around the top of the headstock, and a very small indentation in the finish on the back of the neck. There is also a small finish imperfection near one of the tone knobs, but hard to see without looking directly at it with direct light. Please make sure to look closely at all of the photos.
Weight is 8 lbs 7 oz, and it's very well-balanced. The resonance and sustain of this guitar are out of this world. If you're looking for a ES-335 that will knock your socks off, this is definitely one you should consider.
If you have any questions, or would like additional photos or details, please let us know. Thanks for looking!
