JAM Pedals Tubedreamer mk.2 808-style overdrive with better low-gain control and High Gain mode

JRC4558D · 2 clipping modes (asym 3-diode / no diodes) · Improved low-gain resolution · HIGH GAIN footswitch · Internal trimmers · Configurable startup state

The JAM Pedals Tubedreamer mk.2 builds on the original Tubedreamer (2006) with a clear goal: deliver a warm, rich, articulate 808-style overdrive with a carefully tuned midrange that cuts through a mix without sounding congested or harsh.

The most meaningful upgrade is where players actually live: low gain. The mk.2 offers improved low-gain resolution for finer control and a wider range of usable tones—great as an always-on stage, for pushing an amp, or for stacking with other drives.

At its core it retains the beloved JRC4558D. From there, it expands feel and flexibility with two clipping personalities:

• 3-diode asymmetrical clipping for enhanced touch sensitivity.
• No-diode mode for a more open, dynamic, amp-like response with increased headroom and clarity.

For performance use, a dedicated HIGH GAIN footswitch activates an additional gain stage. Two internal trimmers provide independent output level control for the high-gain stage in each clipping mode, allowing precise matching or intentional boosting. Finally, you can define the pedal’s startup state for both the effect and the high-gain stage.
