Rare Vintage 1977 Roland PA-120 Green PA Mixer – Exceptional Collector Condition

This is an extremely rare early-era Roland PA-120 green PA mixer, manufactured in 1977. Vintage Roland PA equipment from this period is already difficult to find, but moreover, examples preserved in this condition are exceptionally uncommon.

The PA-120 belongs to the same product era and design family as the legendary Roland RE-201 Space Echo, making it an excellent companion unit for vintage Roland tape echo setups. The mixer includes dedicated auxiliary input/output connections that allow seamless integration with the RE-201, making it possible to route signals directly through the Space Echo and obtain the classic Roland echo effect in an authentic vintage configuration. For collectors and musicians seeking a period-correct setup, pairing this mixer with an RE-201 is highly recommended.

An original dedicated cover is also included. These covers are extremely difficult to find today and add significant collector value, especially for enthusiasts seeking a complete vintage Roland setup.

Considering that this unit is nearly 50 years old, the condition of the front panel is almost unbelievable. The faceplate remains remarkably clean, with an appearance close to new old stock. During inspection, the original protective film on the front plate was only recently removed, and even the knobs still retain protective film around their edges, leaving them free from visible scratches and preserving an extraordinary level of originality.

The unit has also undergone cleaning maintenance service and inspection. All knobs and input/output jacks were carefully checked and clean, and no significant crackling or noisy behavior was present during testing. The solder joint that had deteriorated due to aging was reflowed.

Cosmetically, there is one repaired scuff mark on the side panel. While the repair has been completed carefully and is generally unobtrusive, the mark may become more noticeable depending on lighting and viewing angle. Detailed photos of this area have been uploaded for transparency.

This unit is a Japanese domestic model designed for 【AC 100V】operation.

Depending on your country’s mains voltage, a proper step-down transformer may be required for safe use. Please make sure to use an appropriate transformer and power environment before connecting the unit.

As with all vintage electronic equipment, long-term behavior of potentiometers and switches cannot be guaranteed indefinitely due to the age of the components. Although cleaning and servicing were performed during maintenance and no major issues were observed during testing, slight noise or condition changes may occur over time or during international transport.
