Here we have a great sounding and playing Musicman Stingray bass. The serial number, B013XXX seems to put this bass squarely into 1979. Strings through the body, 9 pounds 6 ounces so lighter than most, the volume pot was dated 1977, the other pots 1976. The volume pot had a broken trace and did not work- it is in the original plastic case, and a correct value replaced it. The electronics and pickup look correct. The body only was refinished. The neck has no date, and if there was a date in the neck pocket it was painted over. Plays great, little fret wear, sounds massive and is a killer bass. Thanks for looking!
