NOT your average Artcore!! The ART300 is part of the Ibanez Artcore Solid Body line (not the hollow/semi-hollow Artcore series). Its signature feature is the Caiman textured top, a carved, reptile‑skin‑like finish that came in several colors.

It’s a mahogany body / mahogany set neck guitar with a 24.75" scale, built to feel like a modernized Les Paul alternative.

Key Features:

• Caiman carved top — a 3D textured finish that looks like reptile scales
• Mahogany body & neck — warm, thick midrange
• Set‑neck construction — better sustain than bolt‑on Artcores
• Gibraltar III bridge — stable, comfortable, low-profile
• Active IBZ‑LZ humbuckers — high-output, EMG‑style tone
• Dark chrome hardware — matches the aggressive aesthetic

This is one of the few Artcore models aimed at hard rock and metal, not jazz/blues. The Caiman is the most aggressive of the Artcore family.

The ART300 Caiman is known for:

• Tight low end (active pickups)
• Modern high-gain clarity
• Surprisingly warm mids from the mahogany body
• Smooth sustain from the set neck

If you like EMG 81/85 style tones but want a more unique-looking guitar, the ART300 fits perfectly.
