Vintage Hondo Tradition Dreadnought Guitar
In the 1970s through the 1980s Hondo copied all sorts of American instruments from Martin, Fender and Gibson. This one is a Lawsuit Era HD28 copy, complete with herringbone trim. They even copied the Martin Script logo (check the pictures). I remember very well when these guitars came out and they were generally priced in the $300-$400 range in stores, 30 - 40 years ago. This one has closed Grover tuners. The guitar is in good overall condition with a few expected dinks and dings from being played over the years. It comes in a beat-up, but cool, Martin thermoplastic case with blue lining. Look at the pictures as they provide a better description than I can with words. I am unsure of the exact date of manufacture, but I estimate late 1970s - early 1980s.
This guitar has a great vintage vibe and plays and sounds great. Look at this one before you buy a Chinese instrument that will probably cost more anyway. It would be great for all kinds of music especially around a campfire where you might not want to drag your vintage Martin or Gibson or newer Collings or Taylor.
Please ask all questions prior to buying or making an offer. I am happy to give an in-hand description. Note that this is not a typical modern day Hondo.
