Martin D-41 made in Nazareth, PA in 1994. Serial number 546008 stamped onto the neck block.
This is one of Martin's most decorated dreadnaughts with a seven-ply shell binding on the top, ten-ply bound rosette, bound Rosewood headstock with large shell logo and gold Martin tuners. The Ebony fingerboard also has the large six-sided pearl fret markers.
This one is in particularly nice condition with the Solid Sitka Spruce top showing some lateral finish checking. The back and sides are clean and uniform Indian Rosewood. There appears to have been a neck set at some point in time. The bridge was recently replaced with a correct ebony bridge that has a tall compensated bone saddle and bridge pins with pearl dots.
The guitar additionally has an under-the-saddle pickup ported to a 1/4" jack at the end pin and a battery mounted to the end block. The truss rod adjustment is also on the interior near the end block. There is normative wear over the body with dents and light play wear.
The guitar is loud and projects well.
String height at the 12th fret is 5/32" on the bass side and 1/8" on the treble side.
Included in the sale is a firm fitting original injection molded Martin case with a plush blue interior.
