Up for sale is a rare 2005 Martin Custom D-28 JPTC. Part of the "Japan Traditional Collection," this model was a limited production run exclusive to the Japanese market.

The Quality of Japan Custom Orders:
The Japanese guitar market is famous for its extremely high standards regarding tone and build quality. This custom order features Premium Solid Sitka Spruce and a Solid Mahogany Neck (a significant upgrade over the "Select Hardwood" found on many current standard models). The balance and resonance are exceptional, reflecting the high-end specs demanded by Japanese dealers.

Market Value Reference:
For price reference, the same model with a close serial number is currently listed at a boutique shop in Seattle for $3,800. I am offering this one at a competitive price for a local buyer.

Reason for Selling:
I am currently downsizing my collection and clearing out some gear to make space.

Condition:
I would rate this in Good / Player’s Condition. It has been played and loved, showing some honest cosmetic wear (small nicks/scratches) consistent with its age. It is a structurally sound, "broken-in" instrument that sounds incredible.

Provenance & Maintenance:
I purchased this guitar in Japan about a year ago. Immediately after acquiring it, I had it professionally serviced by a specialized Japanese luthier to ensure elite playability:

Full Neck Reset: Perfect neck angle for the long term.

Fret Leveling & Adjustment: Smooth playing across the entire board.

New Custom Saddle: Optimized for tone and vibration transfer.

Electronics & Playability:

Pickup: Equipped with a Fishman Piezo Pickup, making it stage-ready.

Action: Set low and comfortable. It is a "player's dream" dreadnought.
