Entries in the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist series are crafted around a shared passion for jazz-inspired sonics that honors Ibanez’s historic role in shaping many funk, jazz, and soul records from the 1970s and onward. This heritage was cemented when the instruments wound up in the hands of the legendary George Benson. The Artcore Expressionist AS93FM continues this formidable legacy, supplying modern musicians with the sound-crafting tools needed to explore the outermost reaches of robust, vibrant, and detailed tones. Jazz and funk guitarists can’t get enough of the AS93FM’s indelible sonic character, owing to its premium tonewoods — flamed maple, nyatoh, and Macassar ebony — and dual Super 58 humbuckers. An iconic silhouette is matched with eye-catching binding and a dazzling, visible wood grain, ensuring form and function are in perfect harmony for top-notch aesthetics.
