Fast neck, deep grooves, zero nonsense.

The Ibanez SR900FM is exactly the kind of bass that earns its wear honestly. Lightweight, sleek and effortlessly playable, the SR series has long been a favourite for players who need versatility without sacrificing feel and this example delivers in all the right ways.

The flamed maple gives it that unmistakably rich, high-end look, while the slim SR neck keeps everything fast and comfortable under the fingers. Plugged in, the active electronics offer the power, punch these basses are known for, with plenty of tonal shaping available whether you’re laying down tight modern lines, warm fingerstyle grooves or funky slap tones.

This one is very much in played condition, with early signs of fret wear and a noticeable collection of scratches, dings and general blemishes from regular use over the years. None of it feels excessive or out of character for a working instrument and it still presents well overall with loads of life left in it.

A dependable, great-sounding bass that’s already proved itself and is ready to get straight back to work.
