1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard in vintage tobacco sunburst. Made in the U.S.A, this guitar features not only good looks and outstanding playability, but also a thick and sustainy tone that a 40+ year old Les Paul is known for! It has a 3pc maple top, once piece mahogany body, and classic Gibson headstock shape. 

The guitar has an upgraded 920D Custom Shop wiring harness, original Tim Shaw neck pickup, and 1980’s Seymour Duncan JB-M (Maricela Juarez hand wound) in the bridge. These pickups are prized for their unique, articulate tone compared to modern, mass-produced versions. They are clear without being harsh. This pickup alone is worth hundreds of dollars and is not easy to find. The original bridge pickup has been used elsewhere and is not included. As an additional bonus, the guitar comes in a vintage late 60's Gibson rectangle case (worth over $400 alone).

The playability is exactly what you’d want- perfect neck straightness/relief, great action, and in tune up and down the neck. The frets and fretboard are in outstanding condition. It really plays like butter. The electronics work seamlessly with no bad noise, and the original tuners are quality and extremely stable. Cosmetically it is extremely “played-in” with 40 years of honest wear. See detailed pictures for full detail. 

The guitar has been kept in a smoke free home its whole life. This is really a one of a kind package with the JB-M bridge pickup, vintage Gibson case, and the pleasant natural play wear which looks like a professional relic job. You feel like a true rocker holding this guitar. This price of these keeps rising and I believe this is a fair price right in the current market range based on my research.
