What we have here is a 1973 Gibson ES-335 in the rare ebony finish, stock full of mojo. The amazing smell of a 53-year old vintage semi-hollow guitar comes included! This one is in good shape for the age and has some expected signs of playing, wear, and belt buckle scratches, but nothing that goes all the way through the finish. Just many years of love. The binding is yellowing beautifully and is in excellent shape—no cracking or crumbling. It’s all original except for the Kluson tuners which someone replaced (and kept) with Grovers before I got my hands on it. It does have the original period-correct tarback humbucker pickups which give it a little bit of extra excellent growl, and they clean up beautifully as well. This 335 did suffer a headstock injury at some point but was meticulously repaired, which is not noticeable upon playing (shown in photos). They did overspray the neck finish which impacted the serial number. Fear not though, this baby is the real deal as evidenced by the volume pot dates shown in photos. There is also a black light image of the original number for reference. Comes with original case which also brings the early 70s vibes and feel.
