This is the MARK ONE, the MKI, the MK1, which, softwarewise, is rather different from the MKII.
Opinion varies widely on its joystick and lack of P/M wheels, but I think it's glorious. You can set the Joystick to centered or south-oriented, Roland or Korg style, as you please. Moreover I've really liked how the flat surfaces, uncrowded by the knob/sliders layout, give generous parking space to smaller synth modules and effects units. I've comfortably used a Volca Keys and Roland JD-08 with this, linking to both via the dual Midi Outs and setting up a split zone on Template 20. I hate to see this midi controller go... its biggest flaw is that its managing software app is VERY old and doesn't want to validate on any modern computer anymore. Worse yet, this midi controller's manual spends the first 2/3rds of its pages obsessing nonstop about "Automap", which I was never going to use. NO, no menu diving nor module hacking for me, I just wanted to plug things in and play music, SOME DAY.
Another bonus? This machine, older than some of the people reading this page, will operate as midi controller off a cell phone powerpack aux. battery. No really. I've BUSKED with this thing. Plugged into its USB port, WITH its two midi outs connected to my JD-08 and my Behr JT4000. No lie at all. I'd also mention the C batteries compartment, but that's superfluous with this feature.
Comes with original box.
