Cool old deluxe conversion! Early norlin era with pancake body, 3 piece maple top, and 3 piece mahogany neck. Plays very well with fresh set up and thinner 60s style C neck that tapers up as you move up the neck. Nice rosewood board, refretted with jumbo frets that have very little fretwear. The pickups have been replaced and routed to fit humbuckers, a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck position and JB in the bridge. They sound great!! The tailpiece and the bridge have been replaced; the original bridge is included. The tuners have also been changed with Grover's and looks like the back of the headstock was refinished when the small tuner holes were filled. One of the wings of the headstock was also reglued. The front of the guitar is pretty clean with some very minor scratches, small dings, and some wear around the edges. Nothing too major and nothing through the finish. The back has some more thorough scratching and belt rash and many dings. Overall the guitar still looks nice and retains its charm. Thoroughly played but not abused. Great player and great tone with classic look. Heavy!
Comes with a newer Gibson hard shell case.
