A used Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in Shoreline Gold has just arrived, masterbuilt by the highly acclaimed builder Carlos Lopez.

This exceptional instrument features a roasted alder body with a lacquer finish, paired with a 5/4 quarter-sawn maple neck, resulting in outstanding resonance, stability, and craftsmanship throughout. Weighing approximately 3.34kg, it offers excellent balance and comfortable handling, making it equally suited for both stage and studio use.

The neck profile is based on the popular 10/56 “V” shape, providing a comfortable vintage-inspired grip while maintaining superb playability. Although it captures the character of an original 1963 Stratocaster, modern specifications such as a 12-inch fingerboard radius and medium jumbo frets allow for smooth bending and effortless performance across the entire fretboard. The fingerboard itself is crafted from AAA-grade rosewood, contributing both refined aesthetics and rich tonal response.

Equipped with hand-wound Strat Fat 50’s pickups by Josefina Campos, this guitar delivers a beautifully balanced tone with rich midrange warmth, tight low end, and articulate highs. Clean tones are clear and three-dimensional with excellent shimmer, while overdriven sounds retain impressive presence, punch, and classic Stratocaster character.

■ Condition
Despite its authentic Heavy Relic appearance, the guitar remains in excellent overall condition. The neck is stable, the truss rod functions properly, and there is plenty of fret life remaining. The electronics are also fully functional, with no noticeable noise or scratchiness.

The guitar comes complete with its original hard case, tremolo arm, certificate of authenticity, and specification sheet.
