Up for sale is a vintage Yamaha YCR-231 Cornet Bb cornet in very good playing condition. The YCR-231 is a respected Yamaha student/intermediate model known for its excellent intonation, smooth valve action, and warm cornet tone. These older Yamaha brass instruments are especially well regarded for their durability and playability.
This instrument shows only light cosmetic wear for its age, including a few small dings, scratches, and a couple areas of lacquer wear, but it remains structurally solid and fully functional. Valves are fast and smooth, and all tuning slides move freely.

Based on Yamaha model history and comparable instruments, this YCR-231 was most likely manufactured in the late 1970s to early 1980s, before Yamaha transitioned many brass models from the 3-digit series (YCR-231) to the later 4-digit YCR-2310 series during the 1980s.
