Up for grabs are these unknown manufacturer 5" aluminum frame, heavy duty , high output and fidelity LOUDspeakers...

I don't remember if these were JBL, Kenwood, Fostex, Sony, or what, but back in the 80s, I acquired NINE of them for a guitar amplifier project that I built for my senior year in Electronics Engineering at the JVS....

Well, they worked REALLY well.... a 9x5" rig with 100 watts of TO3 power!

Anyhow, I dug these up last year, and decided to revive them to "As-New" condition so I stripped them down to bare frames... if it wasn't metal or magnet , I replaced it..

The front face plates were re-surfaced, so they look new.

Then, the fun began. I rebuilt them from the inside out with all new/OEM/ AMERICAN made components. There are no after market, replacement, Import crap, or chyna junk in these, but AMERICAN made parts.... Specifically- JBL!!!

These little guys are basically new units again, possibly BETTER now that I used those components.

*Magnetic composition- Samarium Cobalt anisotropic

*Hook Up- standard spade terminals

*Power- 30 watts RMS

*Impedance- 8 Ohms

*Response- 65hz- 8Khz

*SPL- 94dB

* Diameter- 5" straight across/ 6" diagonal

*Depth- 2"

*Mounting hole diameter 4+3/8" to 4+3/4"

That'll give you guys a good idea of how they are built and how they'll sound.. You guys know what this stuff is..........

As far as sound, if you want to use them for Hi-Fi wide range woofers or even dedicated midranges , you'll enjoy nice tight, accurate, no " Ghost Note" tonality....

For GUITAR USE- my experience was that these are super clean sounding, with minimal break up ( unless you really crank on them), and with fast, tight accuracy ... With clean/ amplified acoustic, a group of these is phenomenal... They can get LOUD....

Fully tested under diagnostics and operate without any rubbing, buzzing, holes, rips or tears- these are basically new units again and operate just peachy....

Plus, I'm confident enough that you'll LOVE what you just bought, that on speakers I'm crazy enough to offer my 15 day " NO GAMBLE" return option from delivery date (((less customer damage))) if for ANY REASON you simply don't like what you just bought...
