Up for sale is an exceptionally clean and technically superior 1979 Marshall JMP 1959 Super Lead 100W MKII. If you are looking for that iconic late-70s "rock roar" in a condition that is increasingly hard to find, this is the one.

This amplifier has been part of a high-end collection and has been treated with the utmost respect. Unlike many JMP’s from this era, this unit is free of the typical "mods and holes" that ruin their vintage value.

Technical & Collector Details:

• Transformers: 100% Original Dagnall/Drake transformers. High-resolution photos of the codes are included.

• Circuitry: Pristine internal board featuring the original, highly desirable blue Daly/Philips filter capacitors (tested and healthy).

• Service History: Fully serviced by a professional tech. Sale includes a detailed service reportwith ESR measurements and bias settings. It is plug-and-play ready for the stage or studio.

• Condition: The gold faceplates are remarkably clean. The "Elephant Grain" tolex is in beautiful original condition.

• Note on Logo: Please note that the original large Marshall plastic logo was missing when I acquired the amp. I have professionally fitted a smaller vintage-style Marshall logo as I personally prefer the look. Authentic full-sized replacement logos are widely available and inexpensive should you wish to return it to the 100% stock look.

The "No-Hole" Master Volume Mod:

To make this 100W beast manageable, a professional 2203-spec Master Volume mod and a 50W/100W switch have been installed.

• Crucial: These were installed using existing holes. NO holes were drilled in the chassis or the original faceplates.

• The amp can be returned to 100% factory stock specifications in minutes without leaving a single trace.

Price & Transparency:

Given the rise in value of unmolested JMP's and the included service documentation, I am asking €3.895. I am open to serious offers, but please respect the unique condition of this amplifier.

Local Pickup (Highly Preferred):

I am located in Belgium. Due to the weight and the vintage nature of the transformers, I strongly prefer Local Pickup.

• You are more than welcome to test the amp on your owb cabinet over a cup of coffee.

• This ensures you are 100% satisfied and the amp stays safe from shipping risks.
