King Harry James Trumpet - Gold Plated

King Harry James trumpet. This is one of the rare Harry James model trumpets that was manufactured by King for Harry James. The Harry James trumpets are Symphonic models with the valve section in a more forward position to create a balanced feel to the horn. Harry reportedly like to have the valves here as it felt more comfortable with his long arms. This dual bore trumpet is gold plated with the Harry James signature on the side of the bell section. Harry reportedly did not like lacquer finished horns as he felt the lacquer prohibited the natural vibration of the instrument. It is priced with the original hard shell case and includes all of the original paperwork that was in the case from the factory.

We purchased this trumpet direct from the King factory and were later told by a King factory representative that it should never been offered for sale. It has remained in our collection since this time and has never before been sold.
