According to our research this model is 1935. 4 digit serial number. The guitar is fully functional and has a straight neck. It’s a survivor with work that’s been done on it to be noted. The tuners are upgraded, and are of very nice quality with wooden grips. 5 of what appears of the original tuners are in the case.

The tailpiece has also been upgraded. The saddle has been upgraded. A higher quality dark wood saddle is in the case, but appears to be too high, so it needs sanded down or notched for use. There’s another saddle bottom that could be used with the dark saddle, however it has a clean break in it. Could easily be glued back together, and these are all just extra parts.

There is a good bit of body work that has been done to it that is very nice quality work. There was a split on the top that’s been glued and repaired and perfectly smooth to the touch. Any splits in the body have been glued and are stable. The heel of the neck was broken and repaired at some point. Its smooth. Theres some glue residue seen in some places under the fretboard overhang. it seems a different glue could have been used or that wiped away to prevent seeing, but its not seen when in use and the neck is firmly attached.

Binding had been added to the guitar. It‘s not a perfect job and could use some filler, but is an ivoroid pattern and looks nice.

Here’s the improvements we could see adding a lot to the guitar in our opinion of order of importance: new frets on the guitar (frets work but are worn), add strap buttons to the guitar, new nut (current nut has a plastic shim under it). Also the saddle appears slightly high as it’s all the way at its bottom setting. One of the saddles need sanded down on the bottom, or deeper cuts in the string notches or a new saddle. Those changes would make it function or feel better. A person could decide if they wanted to add a finish to the guitar for cosmetic addition.

If you’re looking for a good price on a 1930s guitar, that for sure has a ton of history and style, this could be a great rare find for you. If you have some skills in repair or know a luthier or repair tech it also could be a great fit.
