This '65 Olympic White S model marks the return for Greenwich Village Custom Guitars. Jonathan Wilson spent the last decade producing records for Father John Misty and Jackson Browne or touring as lead guitarist for Roger Waters. This is the first new GVCG S model he has offered in ten years.
The build starts with a lightweight Alder body that brings the total weight to 7 lbs 6 oz. It is finished in 100% nitrocellulose lacquer with light aging and subtle checking throughout. The neck is a gorgeous dark Rosewood on Maple with a vintage C profile, 7.25” radius, and vintage spec frets.
Inside, the guitar features a set of 2006 Abigail Ybarra hand-wound pickups. The electronics include a vintage tone cap, CTS pots, and a CRL 5-way switch. It comes equipped with a vintage style tremolo and ships in an Orange Lined Reissue case.
