Groove Tubes Model 5SM Multi-pattern 5SC Condenser Microphone MD5 SM

Up for sale is a Groove Tubes Model 5SM microphone. This is the multipattern version of the GT MD5sc (cardioid only), Aspen Pittman's first tubeless (solid-state) microphones after the famous Model 1, 2, and 3 offerings in the late 1990s. It features a large dual-diaphragm (around an inch in diameter) true capacitor capsule that supports switchable cardioid, omnidirectional, and bi-directional (figure-8) polar patterns [requires a 48V phantom power source to operate]. It feature a class A FET preamp with a transformer‑coupled output stage with a switchable 10dB pad and low‑cut filter.

This mic works and sounds great. Please note that there is a slight dent in the nickel body (up and to the right of the words "Groove Tubes") that may not be obvious but is shown in the last photo. Please take a close look at all of the photos as they detail the mics general cosmetic condition.
