Up for grabs is a lightly used Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb V1 (digital) classic casing. From the 2000s.  NOTE: this model pedal (the classic casing version) is designed to NOT use a battery.

Comes with a print out copy of the Instructions/Manual paperwork. Also comes with a new open package Truetone C35 converter (see pictures # 1, # 2, # # 17 , and # 18).

Sorry NO box / NO adapter / NO original paperwork.

It was pre-owend and lightly used there for it has a couple of visible - but not too serious imperfections. Specific details about it's condition are further down in the description I

In pictures you can see most - but not all of the imperfections. Some pictures were taken in a lower light to show most - but not all - of the imperfections better. But in these pictures the pedal looks duller than it looks like in person.

Since this pedal requires a 1/8" plug end for the power jack - I'm including a new (open package) A+ shape Truetone 1 SPOT (C35) 3.5mm converter which has a 1/8" plug end (SEE pictures # 1, # 2, # 17 & # 18).

  • So all you have to do is connect YOUR At LEAST 500mA, negative center, barrel end adapter to the short converter.
  • NOTE: the C35 converter will reverse the polarity.

The selling price will be:

  • $3 less if you do not need the Truetone (C35) 3.5mm converter
  • Please message stating that you do not need it and then I can send you an offer with a message reflecting this.

NOTE: I do NOT have the original Electro Harmonox adaptor - but if you want to purchase the adapter elsewhere - here's are two model numbers for it MKD-41090500 or US9DC500.

  • Please message me if you would like to purchase (additional cost) a new (open package) or used Truetone adapter model NW1-US. ($22 for new open pacakge // $17 for used).

This version of the EH Holy Grail Reverb [ver 1 (classic casing)] pedal is NO longer made. Great for collectors and / or for someone looking to buy this pedal to use.  Also great to give to someone as a gift!!

This pedal and the C35 Converter were tested and they work fine.

It has true bypass. The blue effect on / off switch seen on pictures # 5 and pictures # 19 to # 24.

In the pictures - you can see most (not all) of the imperfections on the pedal. The 3.5mm converter is new / open package. Feel free to ask for more pictures.

Here are very specific details about the conditon of this pedal and the C35 converter.

  • TOP Side of the casing: The upper half is very clean. The lower half has a couple of not too light / not too deep very short & short scratches and a couple of tiny & very small nicks.
  • GRAPHIC on the Top Side: Most areas of the graphics are clean. But there are a couple of tiny and very small nicks & very short scratches here & there.
  • The SCREWS on the top side are very clean. I dont think that they are the original screws. But the heads of the screws closely resemble how the original screws looked like.
  • The By-Pass SWITCH: Mostly clean. The top side of the by-pass switch has a couple of extremely tiny / extremey light rust spots (you may not even notice them). The nut for the by-pass switch is clean.
  • RIGHT Side: Generally clean - but ia has a few hair-lime scratches and some very tiny not too light / not too deep nicks.
  • LEFT SIDE: Generally lean. The mid to back ares has a cloudy kind of oval shaped surface spot. And there are a few tiny *& veyr small ncs here & there.
  • BOTTOM Side: Most areas are very clean. But the upper area has some visible imperfections: scratches, nicks, and light scuffs. And there are a few tiny & very small nicks & a few light hair scratches here & there.
  • FRONT SIDE: It has a couple of not too light / not too deep very short & short dash scratches & a couple of tiny & very small nicks- but still geneally clean. Some of these imperfections look like cloudy lines or spots.
  • BACK SIDE: Generally clean. The upper center area has a small cloudy spot that has some very tiny nicks in it. There are a few short light hair like scratches and a couple of tiny & very small nicks here & there.
  • The Nuts & Washers for the INPUT and OUTPUT jacks are clean - but thave a few tny nicks.
  • KNOB: It is very clean. The WHITE Marker Line is fine.
  • FEET: The are the original feet. The bottom areas and bottom edges have scuffs.

The INSIDE of the pedal:

  • The circuit board and inside components are clean.
  • The inside of the upper part of the metal casing -- The main areas have a little bit of cloudiness / surface oxidation, some nicks, and some scratches from how it was manufacture and / or natural imperfections. It also has several brown spots going verticall onthe right side (- which I think was caused by this area of the casing touching / hitting up against the inner upper edge of the bottom of the casing. You can't see all of these imperfections in the picutres- but you can see them in person if you unscrewed the pedal and took the top part apart from the bottom part.
  • It inside area of the bottom part - The main areas are very clean with a few minor imperfections.

The Truetone C35 Converter new open package A+ shape (SEE pictures # 1, # 2, # 17, & # 18).

  • You need to use the C35 Converter with YOUR at least 500mA, negative center, barrel end adapter to power this Holy Grail pedal. Not only because it is necessary to do so for the power jack - but also because the C35 is positive tip (also called) positive center. Whereas most adaptera are negative center. So the C35 reverses the polarity.
  • $3 less if you do NOT need the C35 Converter. Please make an offer with a message.
  • Adapter NOT included - but I have some available for sale upon request. Please message me for info, pictures, prices.

====

the controls are: REVERB and Reverb Type switch (SPRING, HALL, and FLERB).

the jacks are:  OUTPUT, INPUT, and Power.

  • Power info (power requirements): 9V DC, 500 mA, 1/8" (3.5mm) plug for jack, positive tip.
  • The Holy Grail does not take battery(ies).

NOTE: the power jack is for an adapter with an 1/8" (3.5mm) plug end, positive tip/center, and negative ground.  The “tip” is positive, meaning it carries the audio signal. The “sleeve” is typically negative or ground, serving as a return path for the audio signal and reducing electrical interference

  • If you use a Boss type of adapter with barrel end or a Trutone adapter with barrel end (or someting similar) -- you can add a converter like this one: Truetone 1 SPOT 3.5MM C35 converter to your adapter.
  • Truetone 3.5MM converter is included (unless you do not need it).
  • This Truetone link has info about the Truetone 1 SPOT C35 3.5mm converter (in case you are not familiar with this item):
  • store.truetone.com/products/1-spot-3-5mm-converter
  • This is information from the above link: (C35) Allows the 1 SPOT and MC5 cable to power Electro-Harmonix, older DOD, and other pedals that require a positive tip 3.5mm (1/8″) plug.

I took pictures of all sides of the pedal, there are some pics of the inside of the pedal, and there are a few pictures of the Truetone C35 converter. And the first picture shows what it comes with.  Please message me (or make an offer) if you only want to buy the pedal and do not need the C35 converter.

Feel free to ask for more pictures.

There may be some imperfections that I overlooked.   There may be some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.   And - there maybe some imperfections show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person (like glares and dust specks.
