- Original Capsule is working beautiful - Tone is great and would work wonders on a ton of different sources
- Rare model - Not common like the other RCA dynamic models, and it came before many like the KN-1B
- Cosmetically in very nice shape as well with light wear which is surprising given the age
- Lo-Z which works perfectly for modern interfaces, slightly more gain hungry compared to a 635A/SM7B in my testing for a low noise recording
For sale is a RCA SK-45B which is not a microphone you'll see often and certainly not in perfect functional health! Not only does it work well, it has an amazing tone to it that truly shines on a ton of sources, and I loved it on voice. It has just enough of that vintage flair that modern mics are truly missing and it just adds something. I'm a big fan of bass response but the SK-45B steals the show with its cleaner presentation and silky smooth treble that sounds excellent. If anyone is in the market for a vintage RCA dynamic microphone to add some flair to their recordings or experiment a bit, this mic will almost certainly be a welcomed addition.
