Up for grabs we have here for sale is an all original Epiphone Newport bass from 1965. It’s quite easy to tell right away that this bass was very well loved and shows its years well. Lots of pickguard shrinking on this one and is unfortunately miss the thumb rest and the ash tray cover. Aside that everything else appears to be original.
The bass feels and plays exactly what you would expect, and super light weight! Ready for anything you throw at it. The case as well is original to this bass but has definitely seen better days. If you would prefer something a bit more generic please let me know prior to me shipping this out.
As far as the discoloration goes where the neck meets the body, it appears to me that some moisture may have got in under the finish causing the yellowing to accur. There are no breaks or cracks.
I have gone through it and the truss rod turns the way it should, the electronics work as intended, and the action is nice and low with no buzzing anywhere. I used a fret rocker and couldn’t see any inconsistencies throughout.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. All items are securely packed and fully insured.
