The Patrick Eggle Tony Iommi "TI Legend" with a tremolo is EXCEPTIONALLY RARE!!!

It is THE RAREST official Tony Iommi signature model of all and the ONLY one to feature a tremolo!!!

Only 43 or maximum 48 guitars ( including the Tony Iommi prototypes )were ever produced AND only 8 or 9 ( perhaps including the left hand Tony Iommi prototype ) of them were fitted with tremolo!!!

The Ti Legend model was the top-tier version of the Patrick Eggle Iommi signature line and was only produced in 1994, distinguished by its High-End appointments compared to the standard Iommi " Artist " SG type model that was produced between 1995- 1997. With the departure of Patrick Eggle from the company in 1994, this model's production ceased.

To my knowledge, from 2008 up to 2017 only 3 of these guitars were sold and all them were described in good condition, with some wear ( dents...etc ) and either without the original case, or original parts and none of them had Patrick Eggle's official paperwork. Hence , after 32 years, to find another one ( only another 4 exist ) in Mint condition with ALL the paperwork, it is almost impossible.

Tony Iommi used this Patrick Eggle TI Legend model during the "Forbidden" period ( Cross Purposes and Forbidden albums and tour ) of Brack Sabbath on stage and in various recordings. It represents a unique era in Iommi's gear history between his custom JayDee SGs and his return to Gibson. I have included a video and pictures of him with the guitar.

This guitar is in Brand new, almost unplayed Collector's grade condition and comes with every single piece of paperwork, including the extremely rare inspection card!!!The original case is in perfect condition and everything on this guitar is 100% Original and mint!!! Not a single issue!!!

The guitar is fitted with DR Black Beauties ( black color coated ) 9-42 strings.

SPECIFICATIONS

It is handmade and the very best materials were used. The quality of craftmanship is unsurpassed. This is a trully High End boutique guitar. The body and neck are made of Brazilian Mahogany ( a genuine mahogany which is very rare today ). Ebony veneer on the headstock. TI Legend is inscribed on the truss rod cover.

Ebony fingerboard with an amazing fretwork, following Tony Iommi's instructions for a very smooth feel. The action is low and the neck profile is superb and fast. Real Mother Of Pearl inlaid Crosses on the fretboard. Big Real Mother of Pearl Inlay with TI initials on the body. Sperzel locking tuners. Patrick Eggle Wilkinson Tremolo System. Seymour Duncan Tony Iommi twin hot rail pickups. These pickups are unobtainable anywhere else!

This special set was designed by Seymour Duncan Custom shop exclusively for Patrick Eggle Tony Iommi signature guitars in England.

The pickups featured a twin rail design and were unique in that the "rails" or "blades" were exposed A2 (Alnico II) bar magnets. The coils of the Iommi were wound on elongated bobbins to a hefty 21K+ resistance in the bridge!

The bridge Iommi pickup has an exceptional balance to the voice. The low end is dynamic and articulate. The mids are a little more toward the mid-mids and the high-mids. This helps the clarity and and the harmonic content.

The neck Iommi pickup is big but not out-of-control, making it great for very heavy blues-style leads and for prog style solos. By contrast, when in parallel mode, the neck position delivers exceptionally surprising results in to a clean amp setting.

HISTORY

These PRS-style shape, rather than a typical SG guitars, were produced in very small quantities by the very talented British Hi End Boutique manufacturer / luthier / designer Patrick Eggle for a very short period in 1994, during the "Legendary years" of the company.

The partnership between Tony Iommi and Patrick Eggle was short-lived, lasting only a couple of years during the mid-90s ( 1993 - end of 1994 ).

In 1994 Patrick Eggle left the company and moved to the US until 2004. After his departure, from 1995 to 1997 the company produced another SG type model the Tony Iommi "Artist". In 1997, due to the first original Black Sabbath's lineup reunion tour , Tony Iommi made a new deal with Gibson guitar corporation.

In 2004 Patrick returned to England and until today, under the name Patrick James Eggle, he produces some of the world's finest electric and acoustic guitars guitars. He uses the lightest, most resonant and visually stunning tone woods available with micro thin finishes and peerless hardware. Just take a look at his Macon ( LP model )!

Apart from Tony Iommi, other notable users of Patrick Eggle guitars are Brian May, Billy Gibbons, Rory Gallagher, Big Jim Sullivan, Bruce Watson, Bill Nelson, Midge Ure, Tony Remy, Oliver Leiber, AQli and Robin Campbell and many others. In 2014 a Patrick Eggle "JS Berlin Legend" guitar made for Rory Gallagher sold for £25,000 at auction.
