Actual Photos of Guitar
Serial# 188234
Here's a very nice 1963 Martin 0021 NY with the original hang tag with serial number and price from the original purchase. Made for only 5 years, between 1961 and 1965, the Model 00-21NY retains its “NY” suffix to make a connection with the fine small bodied guitars of just before the 20th century. This 0021-NY is designed with a 12 fret to the body, mahogany neck with slotted headstock, 14 ¼” wide (at lower bout) body, beautifully figured solid Brazilian rosewood back and sides with tortoise style binding. The guitar is in very good condition. It shows some wear on the back of the neck and top. The guitar itself is solid with no cracks.. It shows some slight discoloration where the finish has rubbed through some on the lower side (see Picture)possibly from a strap rubbing against it in the case. The previous owner had an under saddle pickup installed with the output jack through the end pin so there are no extra holes. The pickup sounds great as well.
