This is a Warmoth build of a “Vintage” Fender Telecaster. The neck and body are licensed by Fender and manufactured at the Warmoth facility in Puyallup, Washington, USA. This is a completely 50’s style build using the Telecaster Vintage body and neck. The electronics are also vintage spec witn CBS modern wiring. Pickups are the Seymour Duncan Broadcaster set.
All considerations were taken to make this guitar as close to a 50’s vintage Black Guard Tele, from the 7.25” fretboard radius and soft “V” Neck made from Quarter-sawn Maple with vintage fret wire to the Warmoth Fender Licensed Vintage Tele Swamp Ash body that has all the dimensions and artifacts of the old pin-routing method of manufacturing. Details such as the hand-carved bone nut, the flat magnetic poles on the bridge pickup, as well as the flat head screws used to mount the single ply black pick guard give this Tele the look, feel, vibe and tone of a 50’s era Telecaster. The only deviation is that the Butterscotch Blonde finish is polyurethane and the wiring is post CBS style, meaning no “Dark Circuit” blend, but a Master Volume and Tone with a standard three-way switch.
