Lovies Guitars is excited to present this Case Queen! 1979 Gibson Les Paul Artist Electric Guitar finished in classic Antique Sunburst. This premium late-’70s model from Gibson was one of the most advanced Les Pauls of its era, featuring upscale appointments, onboard active electronics, and exceptional craftsmanship. Built with a carved maple top over a mahogany body, the Les Paul Artist delivers rich sustain, focused lows, vocal mids, and articulate highs with expanded tonal versatility.

The Antique Sunburst finish highlights the maple top beautifully, giving this guitar the timeless Les Paul look while preserving the bold personality of Gibson’s late-’70s innovation period.

This guitar is all original (OG) except for added locking strap buttons and comes complete with its Original Hardshell Case (OHSC).

Condition is rated at 9.4/10 – Very Good (for its age). There is light play wear on the top, medium pickguard wear, and light tarnishing on the hardware typical for age. You’ll also find one small light ding on the top, light buckle rash on the back, and three small dings along the back edges. Overall, a very clean and well-preserved vintage example.
