Bang & Olufsen BM5 Stereo Ribbon Microphone

For sale is a Bang & Olufsen BM5 stereo ribbon microphone in good condition. It comes with a plastic case and the original stereo breakout cable. I have used this microphone for drum room sounds on multiple albums in the past few months, and it sounds great. That said, it is an old ribbon mic (I believe it has the original ribbon) and it could use some TLC.

It has a ground hum on one of the ribbons. I'm not sure if this is due to the old breakout cable (it definitely could be restored or replaced), or if the microphone needs repair. I messaged Cole from Cole Picks Vintage and he said a double re-ribbon on this mic would run around $300 for both ribbons. So, use it as is and use Izotope RX or similar software to remove the ground hum, or send it in for repair and get an incredible deal on this rare vintage stereo mic.
