This is a 1963 Gibson Dove in very good + condition
It has had a refret and had the metal tuneomatic adjustable saddle replaced with a rosewood insert with a fixed bone saddle
There is some wear on the top which looks very cool, a couple stray nicks and crazing on the body. A dime-sized pick up volume knob on the top was removed at some point.
The Dove was introduced in 1962 in a cherry sunburst finish. Natural topped Doves came out the following year, 1963 when only 29 were made. I believe 1963 is the best year for these square-shouldered Gibsons.
Whether you're a collector, player or both, an early 60s Gibson Dove is a timeless investment that continues to appreciate in both tone and value.
Maple back and sides, sitka top, 1 21/32 nut
This is an incredible sounding guitar
