Vintage Fisher 500-C Tube Receiver – Estate Piece from Audiophile Collection – Tested & Sounds Great

Up for sale is a classic Fisher 500-C tube receiver, part of an audio collection I recently inherited from my father.

My dad was a lifelong musician and dedicated audiophile who took great care in selecting and maintaining his equipment. This receiver was part of a thoughtfully curated system that he truly valued.

While I don’t have his technical expertise, I did take the time to carefully test the unit. I connected it to a Rega P3 turntable and a pair of Von Schweikert speakers, and it powered on and sounded excellent—warm, full, and exactly what you’d hope for from a vintage tube receiver.

Additional notes:

• All tubes light up and appear to be functioning
• Unit has been stored in a clean, indoor environment
• Good overall cosmetic condition for its age (see photos)
• I have not performed any restoration or internal servicing

This is being sold as part of an estate, so I’ve tried to document it clearly and honestly. If you’re familiar with the Fisher 500-C, you know it’s one of the most respected vintage tube receivers ever made and a fantastic foundation for a high-end analog system.

I’d love for this to go to someone who will appreciate it the way my dad did.
