Up for sale is a Good condition Classic TL Audio C1 Dual channel, tube Mic Preamp and Dual compressor.

Comes with a full 6-month warranty.

These are a classic for a reason not just for the feature set, but the sound, the sound, the sound.

They are a well made, nice sounding unit with a wonderful tube compressor on both channels and offer a mic preamp on each channel for maximum flexibility.

At this age however they have a number of links that can be upgraded to take them to a whole new level. With this design we start with a full re-cap since a lot of the capacitors are tired. Next we modify the power supply for higher voltage to the analog rails, better current delivery and lower noise.

We then install new low noise tubes and Burr Brown High performance amps in all of the audio stages to get the headroom, detail and overall bandwidth to the max.

We then adjust a number of audio capacitor values to make the design more musical and to lower the noise further.

The result is excellent with a very good Price to Performance ratio (bang for your buck). Already a cool box, the C1 after modifications is a go to for vocals, bass you name it! Pretty much anywhere you want a big fat tube sound while keeping the clarity.
