In the 1980's, Kevin Ryan worked in the thriving aerospace industry designing fighter jet models for transonic wind tunnel testing in Southern California. In his spare time, he prototyped one of the most influential acoustic guitar designs of the next three decades.

All Ryan signature guitars are constructed from a private reserve of master and premium grade tonewoods featuring species of cedar, spruce, redwood, rosewood, mahogany, ziricote, ebony, and blackwood. Each guitar is furnished with abalone shell or wood marquetry details, fitted with custom titanium bridge pins, and coated with with a brilliant UV diamond gloss finish.

This guitar was a custom build and is still in near perfect condition with its original fiberglass case.

Innovative Features:

  • Florentine Cutaway with rare Old Growth Brazilian Rosewood and UV Diamond Gloss Finish
  • Acoustic Honeycomb between the bracing eliminates plate distortion and further reduces soundboard mass for iridescent tone.
  • Ryan Bevel provides the ultimate ergonomic comfort for long performance sessions
  • Low Profile Neck - the proprietary micro-adjustable truss rod supports an ultra-rigid yet slim neck shape
  • Extended 25.7" Scale Length facilitates responsive string tension while the guitar is set in alternate tunings
  • Custom Machines - the Super 510 machines feature an 18:1 gear ratio for precise stay-put tuning.
  • Integrated Fretboard Binding - precision milled fret slots ensure the strength of the fretboard over time.
  • Precise Intonation - Oxbone saddle with CNC-milled string compensation is set in a reduced profile bridge to maximize clarity and volume.
  • Spherically Arched Back combines the focus and comfort of a standard body with the powerful acoustic voice of a deep-bodied instrument.
