This is a 2015-16 Ash bodied American Standard HSS Stratocaster in Sienna Sunburst with Custom Shop Fat 50’s single coils and Shawbucker humbucker in the bridge.

*RARE* This model was only built for one year between late 2015- early 2016. It replaced the USA Standard HSS series with upgrades including the Shawbucker Humbucker and is the ONLY finish that supports an Ash body. There is currently only one other listed online on Reverb, and has Reverb “rare find” notification and is £1,299.99 + £50 delivery.

These guitars came with the Custom Shop Fat 50's single coils in the neck and middle (tonally superior in my opinion to the V-Mods fitted in subsequent models), and has the legendary Tim Shaw's own design of Humbucker in the bridge (the "Shawbucker"). These Shaw designed humbuckers are leaps and bounds better than the Diamondbacks used in previous models. Tim Shaw previously worked with Gibson in the 80s to develop the first PAF reissue pickups, and the tones in this pickup are exceptional, with plenty of body and bite. Normally when single coils and humbucker are mixed, you lose the openness of the humbucker or sparkle of the single coils. For this model, however, Fender designed a volume pot that works at both 500k and 250k so no matter what pickup you are on you get the best possible sound.

This guitar is in near immaculate condition. I have shown the one mark I can find in the photos (Image 9/10), which is a tiny nick in the belly cut on the back of the guitar.

FULL SETUP carried out by professional luthier SMB Guitars only a week ago at the start of April. The frets are in excellent condition, as is the neck and rosewood fretboard.

It comes complete with all the tags, tools and case candy, and comes with an original Fender Tweed hard case with red plush lining. I can also include Fender Deluxe Padded Gig Bag (RRP £53.00) for extra £25 (last image)
