Yamaha HPH-MT7w

The Yamaha HPH-MT7 headphones are professional-grade studio monitors designed to deliver the flat, high-resolution sound required for critical listening, mixing, and recording. Inspired by the legacy of the legendary NS-10M monitors, the MT7s focus on sonic accuracy and precise stereo imaging, making them a staple for engineers who need to hear every nuance of a source signal.

Built for the rigors of professional use, they feature a rugged design with die-cast aluminum support arms and a closed-back configuration that provides excellent isolation—perfect for tracking in the studio or monitoring in high-volume live environments.

Features

• Custom 40mm Drivers: Equipped with CCAW voice coils and powerful neodymium magnets for precise control.
• Closed-Back, Circumaural Design: Over-ear fit provides superior passive noise isolation.
• Broad Frequency Response: 15 Hz – 25 kHz for detailed monitoring across the full spectrum.
• Professional Construction: Large ABS housings and rigid die-cast aluminum support-arms for maximum durability.
• Three-Dimensional Pivot: Adjustable slider and pivot construction to alleviate fatigue during long sessions.
• Single-Ear Monitoring: Moveable earcups allow for classic one-ear DJ/tracking styles.
• High-Quality Cable: 3-meter (9.8 ft) straight cable with gold-plated 3.5mm plug.
• Includes: Threaded 1/4" (6.3mm) gold-plated adapter and original padded carrying bag.

Tone & Performance

The HPH-MT7s are celebrated for their transparent and honest character. Unlike consumer headphones that "hyped" the bass or treble, the MT7s offer a balanced response that reveals subtle EQ shifts and compression artifacts.

The low end is tight and well-defined without being overwhelming, while the high frequencies are crisp and detailed, providing the "air" needed to judge vocal presence and percussion transients. Because of their high 99 dB/mW sensitivity, they remain clear and undistorted even at higher volume levels.

Condition

• Used - Excellent: Very clean overall with minimal signs of wear on the headband or ear pads.
• Perfect Working Order: Drivers are balanced and clear; all joints and sliders move smoothly.
• Complete Package: Comes with the original threaded adapter and Yamaha protective pouch.
