48mm - VIOLA - 200 + Years Old Bridge Old Growth Maple Guarnerius Model

1 - 48mm  Viola bridge. Made from 200 + year old, salvaged old growth Maple.

Hand selected billets of Canadian old growth Maple which is salvaged from area rivers and the great lakes. These logs were cut from the original, old growth forests in the 1700's - 1800's, the ones that sunk are now worth 1000's of dollars each. Each small billet costs hundreds of dollars and are hand picked for flame, figure and tight grains. Then dried for 12 to 18 months before making the blanks.

The wood is darker than modern Maple, they are medium hard to hard and in most examples, the grain is very tight.

This bridge is the popular Standard or Guarnerius model - If you buy this item you will recieve a comparable bridge (this is a stock photo) made from 200 + year old, dried, old growth Maple.
