This Mapex MPX steel snare is a reliable, no-nonsense drum that delivers a bright, cutting tone with plenty of crack and projection. The steel shell gives it that classic sharp attack that works great for rock, pop, and live applications where you need your snare to cut through the mix.

This is a 10-lug configuration, which gives you more precise tuning control and a more even response compared to entry-level 8-lug snares. It tunes up nicely for a tight, articulate sound or can be loosened for a fuller backbeat.
