The Opus number on the lower left corner is difficult to read, but it is known he had built at least 650 guitars before this one.

The legendary luthier who began guitarmaking in the David Rubio workshop continues today, he began making harpsichords and clavichords in 1956, then taught David Rubio how to make them, becoming independent in 1975.
