Up for sale is a rare Kinko Music special-order model based on the Made in Japan Traditional ‘60s Jazzmaster, upgraded with premium vintage-correct specifications and a striking Sherwood Green Metallic matching headstock.
This model refines the standard MIJ Traditional series by replacing the usual basswood body with alder, delivering a more classic Jazzmaster tonal response with improved resonance and clarity.
Additional upgrades include a 7.25” vintage-correct fingerboard radius, medium jumbo frets for enhanced playability, and a Mustang-style bridge for improved string stability—making this an ideal instrument for both vintage purists and modern players.
Aesthetically, it faithfully recreates the 1964–1965 transitional Jazzmaster features, including dot inlays with neck binding, giving it an authentic mid-’60s vibe.
