Marshall Major Amps are rare considering that only between 250 and 1100 were shipped during their production years (1967-1974).
Custom-colored Marshall Major amps are also rare.
Marshalls pre-1973 are hand-wired and most sought after.
Marshall Cabinets with  pre-Rola Celestion G12H 55 Hz - T1281 Greenback woofers by Pulsonic (pre-1973) are also rare and the most sought-after Celestions.  The Pulsonic factory burnt down in 1974 and as such, these woofers are a treasure.

How about a '72 full stack Marshall Major with cabinets loaded with Celestion greenback T1281 / G12H55 Pulsonic woofers - all in factory custom color tolex?

Musicians like Richie Blackmoore, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jeff Beck played on Marshall Major heads when they demanded loudness and sustained some hearing loss according to Eric Clapton.
Jimmy Page played live on same cabinets: Type 1982 cabs loaded with T1281 G12H 55 Hz woofers. Woofers are originals. No residues or replacements.

This is definitely a very special setup of a lifetime.

What is included?
-Head type 1967 Lead - serial number 333X D (An X's making last digit) D denotes 1972 (sticker inside states 16-5-1972 as date of manufacture)
-Slanted Cabinet: 15 Ohms Type 1982 Lead Bass 120 Watts  Serial 12298
-Straight Cabinet: 15 Ohms Type 1982 Lead Bass 120 Watts Serial 12288 (picture 22 - but I have additional pics on demand).
-Cabs are factory loaded with the original Greenback G12H 55 hertz Woofers (Pulsonics with a 102 14 stamped on woofer per picture).
-Original wheels (not currently installed at the moment).
-Vinyl covers for head and speakers (newer covers).
-Custom-made transportation flight box for the head with one inch thick Ukranian ply wood with almost an inch of styrofoam (pictured) and military style handles.

Condition of the amp / head:
The board and power tubes been inspected by Skip Simmons and he is happy to take a courtesy call to talk about the amp from a serious buyer.  There are some solder points on the board due to some maintenance work, which is expected in the lifetime of such amps.

The amp and its four original Genelax KT88 tubes are operational. I would highly recommend you store them away for their vintage value and to install new set of KT88 tubes, working with an amp tech. This will allow you to enjoy the amp with peace of mind, while protecting your investment. The Genelax tubes are precious and hard to replace.

Condition of Speakers:
The top cabinet is in excellent shape all around (as pictured). The bottom straight cabinet has some tears in its grill cloth and its Marshall logo has some damage (portions of the "M" and an L  letter are broken off).
However, all eight greenback speakers (G12H 55 Hz / T1281 Pulmonic with 102 14 stamped on woofer) in the cabs are originals and sound amazing, as expected. The interior of the cabinet as pictured is in an immaculate condition. No re-cone jobs.

Logistics:
Local pickup in Orange County is preferred due to huge weight.
If you are remote or international buyer,  please contact me first to explore options.
Willing to entertain the idea of selling the head with the bottom cabinet.
Are you the next owner of this unrepeatable piece of Marshall history?
