Duesenberg is a guitar brand founded in 1986 by German guitar designer Dieter Gelsdorf.

Based on jazz guitars designed in Germany in the 1950s, the brand continues to craft guitars that are both elegant and beautiful, yet highly functional.

Incorporating Art Deco-style designs seen in guitars like D'Angelico, these meticulously crafted instruments exude a sense of luxury.

Above all, the superb tone produced by their original pickups continues to captivate guitarists, earning high acclaim not only in Germany but around the world—and of course, here in Japan as well.

This newly arrived model features specifications that are rare even within Duesenberg’s lineup, which is known for its distinctive designs.

It is the Paloma, featuring a waist contour and elbow cut on the body to ensure exceptional playability!

While Duesenberg typically offers many semi-hollow body guitars, this model features a fully solid body.

It is highly versatile and offers flexible specifications that can adapt to any musical style, making it a convenient choice.

Original parts such as the PG and tremolo, along with the “Three Steps Ahead” design, exude a sense of luxury and presence, creating an atmosphere unique to Duesenberg.

In terms of wood specifications, it features a solid alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard—a fairly standard combination.

That said, because it’s a set-neck design and features a heavy Bigsby-style tremolo, the body’s resonance is quite unique.

The vibrations you can only get from this guitar make it perfect for guitarists with a distinctive style.

With 1 volume and 1 tone control, the layout is simple and intuitive, but the pickup selector is exceptionally unique.

It’s the lever-equipped knob that stands out. This 4-way rotary switch differs from typical designs in that it doesn’t require “pulling,” making it easy to switch settings while playing.

Starting from a position where the lever is nearly parallel to the strings, it cycles through the following combinations: ① Front, ② Front + Rear (tapped), ③ Center + Rear (tapped), and ④ Rear.

Although the guitar is equipped with three pickups, it features a 4-way selector rather than a 5-way one; however, it effectively covers all the positions you’d actually want to use.

The pickups themselves are original designs with a distinctive look.

The front “Alnico-Blade” and the center “Pearlito” both have hidden pole pieces, giving them a simple yet cool look that sets them apart from the rest.

The rear humbucker, the “Grand Vintage Humbucker,” is a familiar pickup also found in flagship models like the Starplayer series.

Both the single-coil and humbucker pickups are not only clear but also offer ample low-mid range, making them more than capable of handling heavier music than you might expect.

The pickup covers feature a “semi-open” design, a practical construction that prevents broken wires caused by sweat or dust getting inside.

While this design was also seen on older Japanese-made guitars, it has been refined to deliver a more premium look.

Other parts also feature original designs, with even the control knobs boasting a beautiful finish.

The Bigsby-style tremolo is a unique design as well, resulting in a look that is simply opulent and incredibly cool.

The strap pins are compatible with Schaller-type pins right out of the box, which is great news for those who prefer locking pins.
