Back in 2009, Fender did a very small run of Greg Fessler Master Built guitars hand painted by Dave Newman. This particular one, the Abstract Strat is wonderful to look at, and will instantly perk your creative side with its fun nature, and once you plug it in, you're in for the ride of your life. The original owner replaced the stock pickups with a set of Grosh 60s Fat pickups, and they sound incredibly musical, and like a Strat on steroids. This instrument has 5 amazing sounds, each one distinctly different, and this difference is more pronounced than what most Strats deliver, it sounds fantastic. The neck feels great with a soft V back shape, and a vintage spec'd 7.25” fretboard radius with small vintage fret wire. The entire neck has a lacquered finish, and if you were blindfolded, you would never know the neck and fretboard were painted, it's simply a great playing and inspiring sounding Strat.
