The Made in Japan Heritage Series represents Fender’s pursuit of the ultimate vintage playing experience, inspired by the tone, feel, and craftsmanship of classic instruments. Supervised by legendary master builder Mark Kendrick, this series incorporates deeply researched vintage specifications that appeal to even the most discerning players.
Each Heritage model is designed using profiling data from USA-made instruments, faithfully recreating period-correct body shapes, neck profiles, pickup voicing, and finishes. From the cross-wire pickups to historically accurate color reproduction, every detail reflects Fender’s authentic lineage.
The Heritage 60s Jazzmaster features an alder body finished in gloss lacquer, allowing the instrument to age gracefully and develop character over time. The maple neck is carved into a comfortable Mid-'60s “C” shape, paired with a 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard and 21 vintage-style frets for a truly classic feel.
Equipped with specially selected Premium Vintage-Style ’60s Jazzmaster single-coil pickups, this guitar delivers warm, articulate tones with the signature depth and sweetness Jazzmasters are known for. The traditional lead and rhythm circuit offers versatile tonal shaping, while the vintage-style floating tremolo and bridge provide expressive playability.
