Note: See short video in gallery showing how I pack a guitar. I set myself apart with my SETUPS and PACKING. I include setup sheet with each guitar.

A vintage guitar with Gibson attributes--maple capped body and set neck--but notable for borrowing Fender-like features such as a 25.5-inch scale neck, string-thru design, and lighter weight.

What It Is
Up for sale is a 1994 Gibson Nighthawk Standard ST-2 in beautiful Trans Amber. Great playing and cosmetic condition. Weight = 7lbs, 6oz. NOTE: Serial would normally indicate 1996, but for Gibson's 1994 Centennial Anniversary, they made the first two digits (94) of the serial indicate the year (see screenshot in gallery).

Condition
This guitar has been very well treated in its 32 years of life. Minimal wear/tear. Has a shallow scratch on back (see pics). Otherwise, only reason I didn't class this "excellent" is basic aging to the finish, like scuffing, clouding, nothing big enough to show up in pics (if you have any questions, ask before buying). Frets in very good condition. All electronics work and sound great. Gold hardware is in pretty good condition with some fading around the pickups.

Playability
Very light and comfortable to hold. Plays great all over the neck. The mini-humbucker and slanted humbucker pickups allow for different tones than the usual Gibson. All original except for a decorative covering on the electronics cover and one pots was replaced with a CTS. Gibson case in great shape with two case keys. I have just gone through and completely detailed this guitar. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. International contact for quote. Thanks!

International
Please note, on Reverb, I ship to USA and Canada only. On eBay I ship worldwide with eBay International, which has the best pricing. cheers

Recent Review:
"Guitar was packed perfectly for shipping. Everything arrived exactly as described. A lot of care and attention was put into the setup (intonation is perfect). Seller was nice enough to include some extras. Excellent seller! Thank you so much!"

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
