Vintage Reghin, Romania 3/4 upright bass, likely dating from the 1950s, with a clean appearance, older European tuners, and a solid playable setup. This is an attractive older Romanian shop instrument with a traditional look and good value for a player who wants a real upright without stepping up into a much more expensive carved bass.

This bass would make a strong choice for a student, jazz player, doubler, or advancing bassist looking for a practical, good-sounding vintage shop instrument.

Based on dealer feedback from photos, the bass may be a hybrid instrument, possibly with a carved spruce top and laminated back and sides, but that has not been confirmed in person by a luthier, so I am describing and pricing it conservatively. I am not representing the bass as definitively carved-top or hybrid. What I can say with confidence is that it is a well-kept older Romanian 3/4 bass with a good overall presentation, older gears, and a nice traditional appearance.
