Wow this Tele has looks to kill; pics do not do it justice. Its a special Reissue that Fender only brings out every ten years or so. IMO they are good as the Custom Shop models, (just not beat up reliced).I see alot of custom shop guitars in my repair shop and they have the same issues as a regular production model. Ive been repairing guitars for 30 yrs and I can honestly say these special editions are Fantastic Value. Formerly known as AVRI American Vintage Reissue, then name change in 2018 to American Original series(as pointed out to me by an alert Reverber). This one has a couple what i feel are required upgrades for a vintage look and sound are: 50's hand wiring(retains the treble as you turn down volume), Custom taper 250 CTS pots, vintage mallory capacitor, Electrosocket input jack, stainless steel slotted screws on whole guitar-even neck/body screws, Glendale compensated Brass saddles (original threaded saddles included/ IMO dont sound anywhere near the brass/you cant efficiently intonate those) The Ashtray bridge cover still in plastic-was never used. Stock specs : the bone nut, dark rosewood fretboard-vintage 7-1/4 radius, maple neck c shape-not too thick, just right as Goldilocks would say, Alder body, kluson 15-1 tuner, double body binding, 50's string tree, Tweed/Red custom shop type interior, and its 7.2 lbs, very light.. Sure to go up in value as it does every year. This was a one owner played very lightly at home, no gigs, and has couple small marks as noted in pics. Save thousands over a Custom shop model and get a guitar that is the quality that you dont get in regular production Fenders.
